MedStar Georgetown Hospital encourages every nurse to participate in a council, whether that’s at the unit, hospital or corporate level.

With the recent opening of the Eileen Ferrell Nurse Relaxation & Wellness Center, we’re excited to launch the Nursing Wellbeing Council! This collaborative governance body will serve as a forum for nurses to shape wellness initiatives throughout MGUH, creating meaningful ways to support wellbeing from the unit level to hospital-wide programs. Join us in making wellness more accessible, visible, and impactful for all nurses.
Sustainability Council
We’re proud to launch our hospital’s Sustainability Council, a nurse-led initiative focused on improving recycling practices and exploring innovative ways to reduce our environmental impact. With a deep commitment to both patient and planetary health, our nursing team is leading the charge toward a greener, more sustainable future for our hospital and community.
