On Thursday, Aug. 15, 2024, over 150 nurse residents, their families and guests, and nurse leaders attended the Summer 2023 Program Completion Ceremony: EBP Poster Session and Pinning for the Summer 2023 Nurse Residency Program cohort.
The ceremony was held at the Leavey Center with Chief Nursing Officer Jo Ellen Carpenter, DNP, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, CENP, sharing opening remarks while C5-1 nurse and former Nurse Resident Charlotte F, BSN, RN, CPN, gave insights to the nurse residents about next steps.
Ejemen I, BSN, RN, CCRN, and Daryl J, BSN, RN, PCCN, from the Evidence Based Practice & Research Council presented awards to the top three posters. Dr. Carpenter and VP of Nursing & Inpatient Operations Lisa Cusaac, MSN, RN, OCN, personally pinned each nurse resident as they crossed the stage.
