On May 26, 2026, MedStar Georgetown University Hospital’s nurse residency program became officially accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

The nurse residency program supports new-to-practice nurses as they receive training and guidance to apply skills needed to be successful and confident in their careers.
