Summer 22 Evidence Based Practice and Research project winners.
The Evidence Based Practice and Research Council is excited to announce the Top Three Evidence Based Practice Posters from the Summer 2022 NRP Cohort! The poster from David Barizo, Kendall Edmond, and Daryl Jucar (2 North) was one of only 35 projects completed by nurse residents nationwide selected for a poster session at the Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program Conference in March 2024. Congratulations to all our Summer 22 nurse residents on the completion of your Nurse Residency Program!

Nurse Preceptor
August preceptor of the month for the summer 2023.
We are excited to announce the August preceptor of the month for the summer 2023 new to practice nurse cohort. Suni McClatchey, BSN, RN, C4-1, was nominated by her orientee, Mike Fleck, BSN, RN, C4-1. In Mike’s nomination he stated that Suni “consistently recognizes the important teaching moments during our shifts together and she makes sure to review these moments with me so that I can apply what I learned to future situations”. Mike also commented that Suni has taken the time to get to know him “as a friend and not just a coworker”. Finally, Mike recognized Suni’s “palpable love for nursing that inspires me to work hard”. Thank you Suni for continuing to share your passion and expertise with our new to practice nurses!
